HOPE Presents Erase and Rewind during Paris Fashion Week
As Men's Fashion Week draws to a close in Paris, we visited HOPE for our final stop. The emerging Stockholm-based brand is celebrated for its focus on refined wearable silhouettes, which are achieved with meticulously crafted textiles. At the heart of the brand's ethos lies individuality, with collections designed around versatile pieces that cater to a wide array of personal styles and moods.
Their Fall '24 collection, titled 'Erase and Rewind', revolves around the concept of 'untelling'—it's about discarding established norms, reimagining foundational elements, distorting traditional designs and adopting a fresh approach to sustainable materials. The collection strikes a balance between casual and formal elements by artfully combining cinched dresses, shirts and jackets with precisely tailored suit trousers or relaxed, oversized outerwear.
A special commendation is due for HOPE's utilisation of upcycled denim and their dedication to eco-friendly production practices. This includes the use of laser ozone technology, significantly cutting down on energy, chemicals and water usage.
Other highlights of the collection include the innovative pairing of a puffer jacket with a mini skirt and the striking use of bronze-effect velvet wash over denim in a pant and jacket combination. These pieces are designed with the wearer in mind, who dresses to achieve a perfect blend of effortlessness and sophistication.
