CCP’s Fashion Photography Extravaganza

Showcasing the diverse works of Zac Bayly, Jo Duck, Daphne Nguyen, Daniel Goode, Jamie Heath and Ted Min, the Centre for Contemporary Photography (CCP) is set to share a much anticipated four-day photography extravaganza. Also featuring will be the iconic performance duo The Huxleys with their latest exhibition, Places of Worship.

Facilitated by CCP’s curator Jack Willet and Melbourne/Naarm-based photographer Jo Duck, the event will survey the contemporary landscape of fashion photography. The exhibition will contextualise a group of unique yet quintessential collections of creative voices within the broader industry.

Six Fashion Photographers rests somewhere between an art fair and a contemporary exhibition with an amalgamation of experimental mediums. Highlighting the intersection of styling, concept and format—the exhibition offers a unique platform for all photographers and their audiences to engage, respond and contribute creatively to conversations surrounding the union of fashion and art, as communicated through the photographic lens.

On the evening, the CCP will also present the new iconic works of The Huxleys’ Places of Worship, offering an insight into the euphoric world of the Melbourne/Naarm based performance artists. The series explores the fading magic of supernatural worlds that artists Will and Garrett Huxley cast themselves in. In the exhibition, the Huxley’s navigate themes surrounding “existing on the fringes of places, and margins of society,” according to the CCP

Complementing the program, the CCP will host an ‘In Conversation’ with creatives including: Zac Bayly, Jo Duck and Ted Min on Saturday 10 July, 2pm.

The event will run from Friday 8th July through to the 11th July, 2021.

SEE ISSUE #06 HERE. The theme for this issue, Revelations, delves into the unfiltered aspects of life. It’s an appreciation and exploration of raw beauty, where authenticity reigns supreme; the unconventional is not just accepted but celebrated. In a world of manufactured perfection, this issue chooses to validate our quirks and idiosyncrasies. After all, they are what make us inimitable.
