Berlin Atonal Returns With Metabolic Rift—A Sensory Overload for the Sensory Deprived
In anticipation of the city’s annual festival, Berlin Atonal has announced its latest project—Metabolic Rift—an exhibition and (un)guided tour of Berlin's iconic Kraftwerk complex, with works from internationally renowned sound and visual artists.
The show spans the course of just over a month from September 25th to October 30th with a series of site-specific pieces by hallmark names including Pan Daijing, Amnesia Scanner's Ville Haimala with Sung Tieu, Aho Ssan and KMRU, Lyra Pramuk, Jamal Moss (Hieroglyphic Being) with Cyprien Gaillardand Rigobert Nimi and more.
In small groups, exhibition goers will experience the installations whilst navigating previously unused nooks of Kraftwerk's complex. Each Metabolic Rift experience will last around two hours, spanning over 20 commissioned works. Visitors can book their preferred dates and slots here.
Coinciding with the exhibition, Metabolic Rift will also put on a series of seated concerts showcasing many of the Berlin Atonal's well-known sound artists from their usual programming.
Six concerts will take place on September 26th and 30th, plus October 7th, 14th, 21st and 30th.
