Andersson Bell Takes Flight with Fall Winter Collaborations and Updated Accessories
Andersson Bell, one of Korea’s most successful fashion exports, presented their second show at Milan Men’s Fashion Week. The collection, titled ‘Air House’, saw founder and creative director Dohun Kim pay tribute to Ki-Ok Kwon, a pioneering historical figure and Korea’s first female aviator. Fusing this aviation aesthetic with a distinctively utilitarian flair and Victorian-era romanticism, Kim cemented his ability to achieve harmonious stylistic and structural balance.
Kim teased a multitude of forthcoming collaborations on the runway, including a vintage race car print with Berlin-based Ottolinger and a Levi’s denim and plaid patchwork jacket. A footwear collaboration with Hunter, incorporating a contemporary update on the biker-boot, alongside a Vibram hiking-sneaker. Embracing unconventional and intricate accessories, Andersson Bell’s collaboration with Spanish jewellery label Rigido added an experimental edge, with studded nose-cuffs, pearl earrings and necklaces presented in oversized volumes.
The brand’s Vaso bag, first presented on the SS24 runway, returned in distressed leather. New styles were also shown including the Dono bag, distinguished by its ruched handle and box design, and the Dumpling bag, which featured corded stoppers and ribbon detailing.
In recent years, Anddersson Bell has captivated global audiences by interpreting the minimalist attitude of Scandinavian design through a distinctly Korean street-style lens. For ‘Air House’, Kim’s clear design language was exemplified through a trend-defying collection that was just as modern as it was timeless.
