Carriageworks and Vivid Sydney Present: Amyl and the Sniffers, King Gizzard, Tropical Fuck Storm and more!
Coinciding with Vivid Sydney’s iconic light festival, Carriageworks will host a curated program showcasing contemporary music spanning two distinct themes of Australian hip hop and rock/post-punk bands across multiple performance spaces.
Also returning to Carriageworks in its sixth iteration is Open Frame, an immersive experimental program of transgressive sound and light. Curated by Lawrence English, founder of cult label Room40, and one of Australia’s pre-eminent sound artists, the program explores the boundaries between sound, noise and experimental music over the final two nights of the program.
The Carriageworks precinct will also come alive each night with a festival pop-up by Cantina OK! A mix between nightclub and immersive visual art experience, Cantina OK! will serve signature cocktails, delicious food and a rotating list of DJs.
Vivid Sydney will transform the city over 23 nights from 6-28 August!
